Season Information
The Youth Bowl Canada (YBC) program is designed for young people to learn about the sport of bowling. We have, out on the lanes with the bowlers, MASTER BOWLERS, who are qualified instructors who VOLUNTEER their time each week to help teach and develop skills. If the young bowler is inclined towards competition, there are numerous tournaments each season that the bowler can qualify for. They will be held mainly in the House and Zone (Calgary Area) but there will be opportunities to advance to Provincial and National competitions. In the program is also an Awards system that each bowler qualifies for when they join, and at the end of the season we have a wind-up and every bowler receives a trophy or plaque.

Fees & Payment Options
Registration fee is $75.00 per bowler. Includes shirt, awards, entry fees for some tournaments, Christmas & year-end wind-up.
Lineage Fees:
Pee Wees & Bowlasaurus:
Monthly: $32 + 1 payment of $16 (Due 1st Saturday of each month)
Bi-Yearly: 2 payments of $100 each (October 5th, 2022 & January 1st, 2023)
Yearly: 1 payment of $175 (Savings of $22.50. Due October 5th, 2022)
Bantams, Juniors & Seniors:
Monthly: $48 + 1 payment of $24 (Due 1st Saturday of each month)
Bi-Yearly: 2 payments of $140 each (October 5th, 2022 & January 1st, 2023)
Yearly: 1 payment of $250 (Savings of $37.50. Due October 5th, 2022)

THE YOUTH BOWLING PROGRAM (YBC) IS DESIGNED FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO LEARN ABOUT THE SPORT OF BOWLING.
SEASON SCHEDULE – BOWLING STARTS THE FIRST SATURDAY AFTER THE LABOUR DAY LONG WEEKEND. THE SEASON RUNS FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH APRIL. THERE WILL BE TWO WEEKS TAKEN OFF AT CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S AND A WEEK AT EASTER.
MASTER BOWLERS – OUT ON THE LANES EACH WEEK THERE ARE QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME TO HELP TEACH AND DEVELOP SKILLS.
REGISTRATION FEE – THIS FEE COVERS A T-SHIRT FOR THE BOWLER, A YEAR END WINDUP WITH AWARDS AND A SMALL CHRISTMAS PARTY. ALSO COVERED IS THE NATIONAL REGISTRATION FEE. THERE IS ALSO A MONTHLY “LINEAGE FEE” FOR THEIR GAMES OF BOWLING EACH WEEK.
CHOCOLATE SALES – EACH SEPTEMBER THE YBC NATIONAL ASSOCIATION SENDS US CASES OF CHOCOLATES THAT WE ARE OBLIGATED TO SELL AS PART OF THE NATIONAL FUNDRAISING EVENT. WE RECEIVE A REBATE FROM THESE SALES WHICH HELPS TO OFFSET THE COST OF THE YEAR END AWARDS.
If your child cannot be here on a Saturday, please check at the counter about prebowling times for them to come in ahead of time and bowl the games that they will miss. Games cannot be made up after that week has finished. There are NO refunds of lineage and registration already paid, except if the bowler is injured and cannot complete the season.
